Year on year success for The John of Gaunt School
It is with great pleasure that we can announce that 25% of all A level grades were A*-A, over 58% of our students have average grades of A*-B and over 80% of students with average grades of A*-C.
All of our year 13 students who applied for university are now looking forward to the next stage of their education with places being offered.
Ben Rhodes, expressed his delight, stating, “Our students have worked so hard over the last two years in our Sixth form and are now reaping the benefits of their efforts. It has been wonderful sharing these special moments with students and parents this morning that are a culmination of all their dedication to their studies and involvement in the whole school life, here at The John of Gaunt. I would like to thank all the staff who have shown such dedication to the students leading to this point.”
There were exceptional results from Jessica Blackburn (A*, A*, A*, A*) and Rory Poulter (A*, A*, A*, A) and Louie Hudd (A*, A, A) Jess is going to Warwick University to study Mathematics and Economics, Rory goes on to study Computer Science at Durham University and Louie will be studying Law at the University of Southampton.
Other students of mention are Isabelle King (Distinction*, A*, B) Primary Education at University of Gloucester, Charlie Smith (A*, A, B) Biological science at Cardiff University and Manolis Pavlidis (D*, A, B) Law at Cardiff University.

All the staff at The John of Gaunt School wish our Year 13 students well in the future. We look forward to remaining in touch and hearing of all the successes our young people have in the next phase of their lives. As ever, ‘Once a JoG student, always a JoG student!’.
